Android , Glossary of terms. I like Android is very agile and I think we need to know some terms to be familiar with .

This post was intended to create a small glossary of common terms used in the " scene " Android where you can go with any questions. The idea is to go slowly expanding with the help of you , either by proposing a term unfamiliar with its meaning or giving a word and give its definition. If you see any corrections , please let us know (no one is perfect).

  • Rom Memory: It is the memory where it is installed and stores rom.
  • Htc Sense: It is an interface developed by Htc for their devices Android. It's like an application that runs on the operating system and it changes the interface Android giving it another look and functionality.
  • Cupcake: The name that was given to the last update that suffered Android.
  • Donut: The name that is being given to the supposed next revision , the 1.6 system Android.
  • Eclair: After Donut come Eclair, is tomorrowndro 2.0
  • Flan: The name has been given to the last update that will receive Android. It will be after Eclair and almost certainly in 2010 .
  • Android Market: The compatible application store Android. It can be accessed from the terminal Android and once connected choose, download and install applications , games, utilities , etc. ..
  • Android SDK: A set of tools and programs necessary for developers to carry out their work.
  • Linux: An operating system like Windows Xp or Mac Os x
  • Java: It is a programming language.
  • Iphone: Well, does not sound , not now fall, why this was a phone? :) I do not set yourself to get pretty.
